TV Pointer Privacy Policy
TV Pointer is an Android TV app that turns the remote into a mouse pointer. This policy explains what it does with your data: nothing leaves your TV.

The short version
TV Pointer doesn’t collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, ads or crash reporting, and it never connects to the internet. Everything it does happens on your TV.
Who we are
TV Pointer is made by ES KEY TECH LTD („Ес Кей Тех“ ЕООД), EIK 208916463, 35 Stoyan Mihaylovski St., 4000 Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Because the app sends nothing to us, we hold no data about you.
What the app does on your TV
TV Pointer works through Android’s Accessibility Service. It reads remote button presses so the arrow, OK and Back buttons can control the pointer, and checks which app is open and whether the on-screen keyboard is showing. When you press OK, it looks at the screen layout under the pointer to find the button or link to press.
None of this is saved or sent anywhere. Android warns that accessibility apps can collect text you type. TV Pointer sees button presses because it has to read the remote, but it doesn’t record them, and it doesn’t keep or send anything it sees on the screen.
What is stored on your TV
Your settings: the apps that use the pointer, the toggle button, pointer speed and size, and whether precise taps are on.
If you turn on precise taps, a key that TV Pointer creates on the TV to identify itself to the TV’s debugging service.
Both stay in the app’s private storage on the TV and are deleted when you uninstall TV Pointer or clear its data.
Precise taps and the internet permission
TV Pointer asks for Android’s internet permission only for the optional precise-taps mode. That mode connects to the TV’s own debugging service at 127.0.0.1, an address that never leaves the TV, and sends it tap commands at the pointer’s position. TV Pointer makes no other network connections, to us or to anyone else.
Downloading the app
TV Pointer is distributed through GitHub, which handles download requests under the GitHub Privacy Statement. If you use the short address eskey.tech/tvpointer.apk, our web server redirects you to GitHub; how our website handles requests is described in the ESK Tech Privacy Policy at https://eskey.tech/privacy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase personal data about you. TV Pointer doesn’t send us any, so there is nothing for us to look up or delete: uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. For questions, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
TV Pointer isn’t directed at children under 13, and it collects no data from anyone.
